Why this site exists
Most decorating advice quietly assumes you can drill into a wall, repaint a kitchen, or dedicate an entire room to storage. Renters cannot do any of that. Add a security deposit you would like back and a floor plan measured in inches, and the usual advice stops being useful very quickly.

How we choose what to feature
